Inauguration of the CYG Pune 2008 office at ICC Trade Tower.

Mr. Michael Fennell officially inaugurated the office of the CYG Pune 2008 at the ICC Trade Tower on 22nd May 2007 at 7 pm. He also unveiled the Countdown Clock at the gate of the office.

The official website of the CYG Pune 2008 – www.cygpune2008.com was launched by Mr. Fennell. He browsed the site, visited all the links and expressed his pleasure at the effort. The guest list for the entire function included members of the Organising Committee and Sub Committees of CYG Pune 2008, representatives from the Government of Maharashtra, Prominent citizens and Members of Delhi 2010.

Mr. Fennell and Mr. Hooper also graced the dinner hosted by the Chairman and the OC, CYG Pune 2008.

Mr. Fennell and Mr. Hooper visited the Shri Shiv Chhatrapati Sports City, Balewadi and reviewed the progress in the sports and Village infrastructure. This was followed by presentations by the Dr. Nitin Kareer, Divisional Commissioner and architects, Mr. Pravinsinh Pardeshi, PMC Commissioner on city infrastructure and the Commissioner of Police, Mr. Jayant Umranikar on Security.

Mr. Fennell then addressed a press conference where he expressed satisfaction on the pace of work and the enthusiasm and zeal of the stakeholders in the project.
