CGF General Assembly in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth Games Federation for the year 2007 took place in Colombo, Sri Lanka from 5th – 9th November 2007. All 71 CGAs expressed satisfaction with progress of work in the Commonwealth Youth Games Pune 2008 and Commonwealth Games Delhi 2010.

The CGF Sports Committee meeting was conducted on 5th November where Brig G A Siddique, Games Director, Commonwealth Youth Games and Mr. ASV Prasad, ADG Technical & Infrastructure,

Commonwealth Games Delhi 2010 presented the sports program and sports infrastructure for the games. Discussion regarding the inclusion of dope control was discussed and introduced for the first time in the Youth Games.

The CGF Executive Board Meeting was conducted on 6th November. After the opening remarks by Mr. Suresh Kalmadi, M.P. & Chairman CYG Pune & CWG Delhi 2010, presentations on CYG Pune 2008 & CWG Delhi 2010 were made by Mr. Atul Chaturvedi, ADG Youth Games, and Mr. Vijaykumar Gautam, Chief Operating Officer, CWG Delhi 2010. The Executive Board expressed satisfaction with the progress made in Pune and Delhi.

The Hospitality Suite was branded in traditional Indian colours and exhibition panels displayed information on Delhi and Pune Games. Curious CGA members frequented the Hospitality Suite and enjoyed the ambience of India. Visas to India were given to their representatives through the Indian Mission in Colombo. The Pune 2008 and Delhi 2010 teams successfully clarified all doubts of the CGAs. They expressed their gratitude to the Organising Committees for having allocated travel grants to their athletes to be able to participate in the Games. Queries were addressed by the respective teams and the CGAs were satisfied with the level of progress made by CYG Pune for the Games.
